Online Registration for the Spring Leadership and Skills Championship is now OPEN at http://www.skillsusa.org/join/joinonline.shtml Please complete all registration for Spring Conference PRIOR to March 3, 2009. The Spring Conference Online Registration will be CLOSED on Tuesday, March 3. If your registration is not submitted by March 3, you will not be able to participate in the Spring Conference and Skills Championships this year.
SkillsUSA Membership Deadline is quickly approaching – all membership must be submitted by March 1 – if students are not SkillsUSA Members before March 1, they are not eligible to compete at State Conference. Membership Registration is done online at: http://www.skillsusa.org/join/joinonline.shtml
New Prize Policy – All winners who earn prizes must first send a Thank You Note to the State Office (to be forwarded to the Sponsor) before receiving their prize. Once a Chapter’s Thank You Notes have been received by the State Office, prizes will be sent to the chapter advisors to be given to the student winners.
Official Dress Requirement – Students must wear official dress or competition uniform for the Championships Awards Ceremonies in order to receive their medallions on stage. This year extra jackets will NOT be provided for student use on stage. Please plan accordingly and contact the state office with any questions.
Resume and Knowledge Test Requirement – Again this year each competitor MUST turn in a Resume and completed SkillsUSA Knowledge Test to EACH Competition they registered in. The Knowledge Test will be emailed to Advisors on Monday, March 30, 2009, to be completed before Conference and turned in at each competition location.
