Legislative Hearings – Share Your SkillsUSA Story

Public Testimony Hearing in Salem at the Capital – Thursday, April 23, 5:30p-8p.  (That’s today!)  Advisors, Students, Parents, Alumni, and Supports – please plan to attend and share why SkillsUSA is important and should not be cut.  Please wear official dress or professional attire, prepare written testimony to submit as well as to be orally presented.  This is a chance to share your voice about the importance of the Student Leadership Development Center and SkillsUSA Oregon.  Attached are several documents that may help you prepare.

Attached is also the schedule of when other Public Hearings will be happening around the State over the next two weeks.  Check to see if there is one closer to home for you to attend and testify at.  This is important for us in order to secure funding for next year.

If you cannot attend, please contact your local Senator and Representative personal to share the importance of the Student Leadership Development Center and specifically SkillsUSA

Please contact Niki Clausen at the State Office with questions.
