SkillsUSA Thank You Notes

Remember that this year we have a new Prize Policy due to our generous sponsors, especially the Air National Guard. This year EVERY 1st-3rd place winner, in both Skill and Leadership Competitions, has a prize waiting for them at the State Office. Please send thank you notes to the State Office (address below) so that I can send you the student prizes. I need these thank you notes as soon as possible (I know it is after the deadline, so get them in quickly). Please contact me with questions. I have attached directions.

Congratulations again to all of your students and a great Spring Conference!

SkillsUSA Advisors -

Congratulations on a great Spring Conference.

Attached you will find the Leadership Awards Results and the Skill Awards Results, the Prize Policy Instructions, and National Conference Information and Instructions. (Please make sure to meet the first deadline of Friday, April 17)

I will be sending out Certificates and medallions that were not collected at conference with the prizes.

Thank you advisors for all that you do for this organization, without you this would not be possible.  Your Thank You Gift will also be sent in the prize package.

Please contact me with questions and thank you again for helping to make the 2009 Spring Leadership Conference and Skills Championships a success.

Spring Competition

Advisors,

Conference is here!  I look forward to seeing you on Friday morning.  Attached is the slc-tentative-schedule and the lbcc-map.

You will want to park in lot 5 or 6 in the north side of campus – entering campus for Ellingson Road.

Registration is from 7:30-9 in the up stairs Forum Lobby.

Make sure you also look to see when set-up times are.

Remember each competitor needs to have a Resume and SkillsUSA Knowledge test for EACH Competition they are in.

Don’t forget about the Official Dress Requirement to received awards on stage and the NEW Prize Policy that students must send in their Thank You Note before the prize will be sent to the school.

Thank you for your patience as this is my first year in this position.  I am getting you information on specific competitions as soon as I get it from Tech Chairs.  I am also posting all up-dates online at www.oregonskillsusa.com.

Also, make sure that you bring your Payment and Liability Forms with you.  (If I do not have forms turned in, your students will not be competing.)

There will be an advisor meeting on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning – plan to attend one of them.

Please contact me with questions and I look forward to seeing you at Conference..
